Siva GorripatiVISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that his government would encourage sports and talented sportsmen.
He said the government would provide all necessary support to the sports persons to excel at the national level and also at the international level.
After unveiling his father late CM YS Raja Sekhar Reddy’s bronze statue at Dr YSR ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in PM Palem near Madhurawada on Thursday, the chief minister Interacted with the Ranji players and also budding cricketers. He advised them to work hard and bring laurels to the state.
CM Jagan Mohan Reddy launched APL cricket league season II and appreciated the women cricketer who shined in World Cup Cricket Anjali Sravani and Shabnum. He distributed Rs. 10 lakh encouragement money from Andhra Cricket Association to the women cricketers and also interacted with the Ranji players and budding cricketers.
While interacting with the cricketers, the CM said that the state has many talented sportsmen and the government would take special measures to nurture the young and budding players to shine at the national level and also international level.
Chief minister advised the ACA secretary Gopinatha Reddy to prepare a road map for the promotion of cricket by identifying the talented and capable players for encouragement.
Chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the one more prestigious defence museum- Sea Harrier Museum on beach Road and also unveiled plaques of Kapu Bhavan, Fish Landing Center at Bheemili, Indoor Sports Arena in MVP, and VMRDA Commercial Complex at Ramnagar.
Chief minister inaugurated the Oncology block in Apollo Hospital and visited the cancer unit. He interacted with the doctors of the hospital.
