AREAL FLOOD WATCH
URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED

...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...
The Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of southwest Arkansas and
Texas, including the following counties, in southwest Arkansas,
Miller. In Texas, Angelina, Bowie, Cass, Harrison, Marion,
Nacogdoches, Panola, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine and Shelby.
Flooding may still be occurring in some portions of East Texas south
of Interstate 20. However, the threat for additional heavy rainfall
has ended. Therefore, the Flood Watch is being cancelled.
...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Arkansas, Louisiana and northeast Texas,
including the following counties and parishes, in Arkansas,
Columbia, Hempstead, Lafayette, Nevada and Union. In Louisiana,
Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Caldwell, Claiborne, De Soto, Grant,
Jackson, La Salle, Lincoln, Natchitoches, Ouachita, Red River,
Sabine, Union, Webster and Winn. In northeast Texas, Gregg.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorms resulting in heavy rainfall can be
expected through late Thursday afternoon with an additional
2-4 inches of rainfall with isolated higher totals in excess
of 5 inches possible.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
