Ludhiana: A car, driven by a man who was learning driving from his friend, killed a pedestrian on Dugri village road on Wednesday morning.
The victim, Khushi Ram of Chamkaur Sahib, was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
Khushi Ram had been working in a factory in Ludhiana’s Bhai Himmat Singh Nagar and living inside the unit for the past few years.

Manoj Kumar said on Wednesday morning, he had gone near Gill Park to get milk. After purchasing milk, he was walking back home, when a car hit him from the rear. ASI Peyara Singh from Dugri police station said the car is owned by Bachhar Ram of phase-II of Dugri. His friend Ram Charan was learning to drive a car from Bachhar Ram. A case under Sections 279 (rash driving), 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 304-A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC has been registered against the duo, who are yet to be arrested. tnn
