Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp.’s first-quarter net profit fell 48% due to lower wafer shipments and higher expenses, the company said late Thursday.
First-quarter net profit was $231.10 million, while revenue during the quarter was $1.46 billion, down from $1.84 billion in the year-ago period, SMIC said.
