Car stolen after owner steps out to open house door in Gurgaon

GURGAON: An unidentified man has been booked for stealing a car, cash and mobile phones of a woman in Sector 40 on Friday after she got off the vehicle to open the main door of the house.
“I parked my car in front of the house and got off to open the door when suddenly a man took the car and fled. There was Rs 5,000 cash and two mobile phones inside the car,” the complainant told police.
An FIR under Section 379 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against an unidentified accused at Sector 40 police station.
“We have registered an FIR and started the investigation into the matter. The accused will be arrested soon,” police said.
