Rahul attends party’s Sarvodaya Sangam camp in Mt Abu
Jaipur: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi reached Mount Abu on Tuesday. Chief minister Ashok Gehlot and Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra received him at Dabok airport near Udaipur after which he left for Mt Abu by helicopter.
Rahul was in Mt Abu to attend the Sarvodaya Sangam camp of the Congress leaders.
He attended the Congress training camp at Swaminarayan Dharamshala in Mount Abu, where he also listened to bhajans while sitting with the workers. The former Congress president held an interaction session with Congress party workers. He returned to Delhi in the afternoon.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi was welcomed on reaching Polo ground by helicopter by in-charge minister Mahendra Chaudhary, minister Sukhram Bishnoi, AICC incharge for Punjab Harish Chaudhary.
After the Bharat Jodo Yatra, this was Rahul’s first visit to Rajasthan and the same day Sachin Pilot attacked Gehlot through a press conference in Jaipur.
Rahul Gandhi's visit to the Congress-ruled state comes a day ahead of PM Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Rajasthan.
The Congress leader's visit comes a day after a high-octane poll campaign for May 10 Assembly elections in Karnataka came to an end. He camped in the state for 12 days. This 10-day training camp will come to an end on May 10. About 45 delegates from different states are participating in this camp.
