Will support people’s candidates in 2024 Lok Sabha polls: Prashant Kishor

PATNA: Jan Suraaj convener Prashant Kishor on Tuesday said he would provide all help to “people’s candidates” in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
“If people decide that they (netas) should contest upcoming parliamentary elections, we will provide them all help,” Kishor told media persons at Mahnar in Vaishali district during his padayatra.
“If I could ensure victory of parties and leaders in various elections, have faith that I can also ensure the victory of people’s candidates,” Kishore said.
He obliquely referred to the victories of the parties for which he and his team have worked in the past, starting with his work for the then PM candidate of BJP, Narendra Modi, in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. In Bihar, the Jan Suraaj Abhiyan supported legislative council candidate Afaque Ahmed who won from the Saran teachers’ legislative council constituency recently.
Kishor said illegal sand mining and liquor trade have emerged as industries in the state.
