JAIPUR: Prime Minister
Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch development projects worth Rs 5,500 crore during his visit to the state on Wednesday.
Modi will initiate several infrastructure projects, including construction of two-lane roads in Rajsamand and Udaipur. He will also lay foundations for the redevelopment of
Udaipur railway station, gauge conversion project and establishment of a new line from Nathdwara-to-Nathdwara town in Rajsamand.
The PM will also dedicate three national highway projects to the nation. A BJP office bearer informed, “The PM is scheduled to visit Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara at 11am. Following this, at 11.45am, he will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for various development initiatives in Nathdwara. Later in the day, the PM will visit Shantivan complex of Brahma Kumaris in Abu Road.”
The press statement released by the Prime Minister's Office reads, “The PM will visit the Brahma Kumaris' Shantivan complex to initiate the construction of a Super Speciality Charitable Global Hospital, the second phase of the Shivmani Old Age Home, and expansion of nursing college. The Super Speciality Charitable Global Hospital will occupy a 50-acre plot in Abu Road and will provide medical services that will be particularly advantageous to underprivileged and tribals in the area.”
According to BJP leaders, PM will be fulfilling a promise he made to the people of Sirohi seven months ago after he was unable to address a rally in Abu Road, Sirohi district, on September 30 due to his late arrival.
Modi's visit to Abu Road will be his third this year to
Rajasthan. His visit is expected to make an impact in 10 districts that have 49 assembly constituencies. tnn
