Andhra Pradesh high court grants anticipatory bail to ex-TDP MLC B Tech Ravi in land dispute case

TIRUPATI: The Andhra Pradesh high court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLC B Tech Ravi in connection with a land dispute case registered against him by the Chakrayapeta police in the YSR district.
The Chakrayapeta police received a complaint from a local realtor Venkata Subbaiah who alleged that B Tech Ravi and his followers trespassed into their venture at Surabhi village and destroyed the fencing at the site and threatened him with dire consequences on April 30.
The Chakrayapeta police booked non-bailable cases against B Tech Ravi and nearly 32 others said to be his followers and Telugu Desam party activists.
The former TDP MLC approached the Andhra Pradesh high court and filed and petition following which he was granted anticipatory bail on Wednesday.
