Karnataka election exit poll results show no party to cross majority mark: Will JD(S) play a kingmaker again?

The exit poll results of the Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023 are predicting a hung assembly in the state and similar to previous elections, the Janata Dal (Secular) is expected to play the role of the kingmaker again. The major exit polls are predicting 14-33 seats for the JD(S).
During the 2018 Karnataka Assembly Elections, the JD(S) played the role of kingmaker after winning 37 seats. In a post-poll alliance with the Congress, JD(S) leader H.D Kumaraswamy became the Chief Minister.
It is to be noted that for this year's Karnataka Assembly Elections, the Congress has shown no interest in an alliance with the JD(S) with senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar even announcing that “there is no chance of an alliance with the JD(S)".
JD(S) to be kingmaker again? Here are the exit polls
1. Republic TV-P MARQ exit polls are predicting 94 to 108 seats for the Congress, and the BJP is expected to secure 85 to 100 seats. The JD(S) can play the crucial bridging role according to this exit poll as the party is predicted to get 24-32 seats.
2. TV 9 Bharatvarsh- Polstrat exit polls have their predictions on similar lines with Congress expected to lead with 99 to 109 seats, followed by BJP at 88 to 98 and finally JD(S) is expected to win the crucial 21 to 26 seats in the legislative assembly of the state.
3. Zee News Matrize Agency exit polls is one of the few exit polls predicting a 'likely' majority for Congress and the seats for the party range between 103 to 118. The BJP is expected to win 79 to 94 seats and the JD(S) is at 25 to 33.
4. Jan Ki Baat exit poll is predicting a different result and has allotted the highest number of seats to BJP at 94 to 117, followed by Congress with 91 to 106 and finally this exit poll is also putting JD(S) at the kingmaker's position with 14 to 24 seats.
5. ABP C Voter exit poll is giving the highest seats to the Congress at 100 to 112, then comes the BJP with to 85-95 seats. The H.D Kumaraswamy-led JD(S) is expected to get 21 to 29 seats in this exit poll.
