    Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

    NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 10:35AM

    Oriental Trimex(up 1.31%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.09%), Aro Granite Industries(up 0.99%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 0.18%), KIOCL(up 0.13%) and Lexus Granito(up 0.07%) were among the top gainers.

    Pokarna(down 1.32%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.71%), MOIL(down 0.54%), NMDC Ltd(down 0.37%), 20 Microns(down 0.30%), Coal India(down 0.28%) and Ashapura Minechem(down 0.18%) were among the top losers.

    The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 6.95 points down at 18259.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 24.59 points at 61736.74 at around 10:35AM.

    IndusInd Bank(up 1.71%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.6%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.09%), Britannia Industries(up 1.09%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.05%), Adani Enterprises(up 0.82%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.7%), Tata Motors(up 0.66%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.63%) and Bajaj Auto(up 0.55%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

    On the other hand, UPL Ltd(down 1.63%), State Bank of India(down 1.26%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.07%), Eicher Motors(down 0.63%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.61%), Tata Steel(down 0.5%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.48%), NTPC(down 0.45%), Infosys(down 0.44%) and Hero MotoCorp(down 0.44%) were trading in the red.
