Rakhi Sawant's brother held in dud cheque case in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Actor Rakhi Sawant's brother was arrested in an old cheque bouncing case after a warrant was issued against him by a local court, police said on Tuesday.
Rakesh Sawant was arrested on Sunday. He was produced before the metropolitan magistrate court in Andheri, which remanded him to judicial custody till May 22, a police officer said.
A complaint of cheque bouncing was lodged against Rakesh by a businessman in 2020, following which he was arrested. He was later released on conditional bail on an assurance that he will return the money of the complainant.
