Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday said his government intends to promote the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in the state and is working on a plan to give a 25% subsidy to the entrepreneurs to promote the industrial units.
He said, “But if the Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) has any good plan for the betterment of the sector, then the government will work on it to increase the subsidy for the MSME entrepreneurs even to 35% or 40%.” He was speaking at the concluding function of the 14th India International Mega Trade Fair at Morabadi here. It was organised by the FJCCI.
Soren said they have come up with one of the best industrial policies and many big and small corporate houses have expressed their desire to invest in the state. “The Jharkhand government will stand with the trade body in every possible way for a renewed industrial movement in the state,” he assured, enumerating how Jharkhand has always supported industries even before the country’s independence.
The trade fair which began on April 28, saw participation from nine nations and 15 states. Around one lakh visitors attended the 11-day affair, FJCCI president Kishor Mantri said.
