People are upset under BJP rule, says Dimple Yadav in Kanpur

KANPUR: Dimple Yadav, SP MP from Mainpuri and wife of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, said here on Monday that "the people are very upset under the BJP rule".
"Inflation, corruption and injustice are at its peak. All the promises of BJP have proved to be false," Dimple said while holding a mega roadshow in the city in support of party's mayoral candidate Vandana Bajpai. The city will vote in the urban local body election on May 11.
People and party supporters thronged the streets, threw flowers and greeted the MP as her motorcade passed through the streets of more than a dozen wards.
Dimple said that this time lotus (BJP poll symbol) will not bloom in Kanpur. "SP mayoral candidate Vandana Bajpai will fight strongly and win with a huge margin of votes. She will work for the public," she said, adding, "The people are now remembering Akhilesh Ji's tenure."
Dimple attacked the ruling BJP over civic issues. "People pay tax, but unhygienic conditions are prevailing all over Kanpur. Filth is everywhere. There is also the problem of stray animals. These are some reasons that this time people of Kanpur will not vote for BJP," she said and added, "The people are with the SP, which can develop the state in true sense. This time the public is no longer going to be misled by the BJP. This time only the cycle (SP symbol) will run from east to west."
She also said that the metro rail in Kanpur is the gift of the Samajwadi government. "Development work has come to a standstill under the BJP rule," she added.
Dimple along with Vandana Bajpai visited Sote Baba temple in Kidwainagar and sought blessings from the deity. The MP was accompanied by Vandana Bajpai, MLA Amitabh Bajpai, MLA Irfan Solanki's wife Naseem Solanki, MLA Rumi Hasan and national president of Mahila Sabha Juhi Singh.
