DA: Woman, stabbed to death several times inside Chelsea apartment, was identified
Authorities are searching for a suspect after a woman was found stabbed to death inside an apartment building in Chelsea on Monday morning.
Officers responding to a report of a domestic disturbance at 44 Lafayette Avenue shortly before 10 a.m. found 59-year-old Margarita Morehead suffering from several stab wounds, according to the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office.
Morehead was pronounced dead at CHA Everett Hospital.
There have been no arrests made in the stabbing.
State troopers assigned to the Suffolk DA’s office are assisting Chelsea police with an investigation.
