Addressing the recent violence in Manipur, Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, expressed optimism on May 9, stating that peace would soon prevail in the state. He highlighted the significant decrease in the number of people residing in relief camps, attributing it to the necessary measures being implemented in consultation with central leaders and the Chief Minister. Dr Singh noted that the day had been relatively peaceful, with no major reports of violence. He emphasized the efforts being made to restore confidence in the state and assured that the Home Minister remained in constant communication with the Chief Minister, ensuring that appropriate actions were taken in collaboration with both central leaders and the Chief Minister.
