Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:04AM

Ugar Sugar Works(up 2.69%), MAGADHSUGAR(up 1.73%), Mawana Sugars(up 1.39%), Sakthi Sugars(up 1.28%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 1.05%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 0.95%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(up 0.95%), DCM Shriram Industries(up 0.92%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(up 0.75%) and Rana Sugars(up 0.64%) were among the top gainers.

Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(down 2.22%), EID Parry(down 0.84%), AVADHSUGAR(down 0.54%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 0.31%) and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 0.10%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 57.15 points up at 18321.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 183.33 points at 61947.58 at around 10:04AM.

Coal India(up 2.25%), Adani Enterprises(up 2.05%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.98%), Tata Motors(up 1.85%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.52%), Asian Paints(up 1.25%), Tata Steel(up 1.23%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.21%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.14%) and Hero MotoCorp(up 1.0%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, UPL Ltd(down 2.24%), State Bank of India(down 0.93%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.61%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.45%), ITC(down 0.24%), SBI Life(down 0.23%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.21%), HCL Technologies(down 0.2%) and Hindalco Industries(down 0.06%) were trading in the red.
