Man held for ‘raping’ his mother

Rajkot: A 30-year-old man was arrested by Jamnagar police on Sunday for allegedly raping his 50-year-old mother in an inebriated condition on May 3. The court sent the man to judicial custody on Monday.
According to B Division police of Jamnagar town, the accused allegedly raped his mother while drunk on the night of May 3. The woman, a widow, gathered the courage and registered a complaint against her son on May 6.
R P Asari, police sub-inspector investigating this case said, “The rape survivor works as domestic help. Her husband died 2.5 years ago. The accused, her son, is unemployed. He admitted to raping his mother under the influence of alcohol.”
