Woman’s gold chain snatched on city road

Vadodara: A woman’s gold chain worth Rs 50,000 was snatched by two people on a motorcycle when she was returning home on her two-wheeler near Sun Pharma Road.
The victim Nimisha Patel was passing from an isolated by-lane when two men came from behind and the person riding pillion snatched her chain on Sunday evening. Though she nearly fell off her vehicle, Patel tried to chase the duo for a while but they managed to escape.
The incident was captured on a CCTV installed nearby and the cops have begun an investigation to track down the duo.
Patel had gone to attend a condolence meeting of her uncle.
A week ago, a 54-year-old woman was also targeted by chain snatchers on Khodiyarnagar Road. Rahel Vankar was out for a walk when the two men came on a bike and snatched her gold chain worth Rs 20,000.
