Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:46AM

Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 2.76%), GE Power India Limited(up 2.75%), PTC India(up 2.08%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 1.94%), Inox wind(up 1.91%), Inox Wind Energy(up 1.65%), NLC India(up 1.59%), RTNPOWER(up 1.56%), Jyoti Structures(up 1.45%) and DPSC(up 1.42%) were among the top gainers.

Adani Transmissions(down 3.25%), Indowind Energy(down 1.73%), ADANIGREEN(down 0.72%), NHPC(down 0.66%), SJVN(down 0.66%), Voltamp Transformers(down 0.64%), Alstom T&D India(down 0.50%), KPI Green Energy(down 0.45%), Karma Energy(down 0.29%) and Torrent Power(down 0.20%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 70.3 points up at 18334.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 224.85 points at 61989.1 at around 10:46AM.

Coal India(up 2.23%), Adani Enterprises(up 2.04%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.95%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.65%), Tata Motors(up 1.59%), Asian Paints(up 1.34%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.31%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.19%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.11%) and Tata Steel(up 0.96%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, UPL Ltd(down 2.32%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.09%), State Bank of India(down 0.58%), ITC(down 0.34%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.3%), Cipla(down 0.14%), Grasim Industries(down 0.08%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.03%) and HCL Technologies(down 0.03%) were trading in the red.
