Chris Jordan will join the squad for Mumbai Indians’ match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday at the Wankhede Stadium.

England pacer Chris Jordan will replace compatriot Jofra Archer in the Mumbai Indians squad for the remaining season, the IPL team announced on Tuesday.

“Chris replaces Jofra Archer, whose recovery and fitness continues to be monitored by ECB. Jofra will return home to focus on his rehabilitation,” the Indians said in a statement.

Archer, signed for Rs 8 crore in 2022, made his debut this season but injuries limited his appearances to just five. He picked two wickets at an average of 95 and economy of 9.5.

Jordan has played for RCB, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings in the past. In 28 matches, Jordan has claimed 27 wickets at 30.85 and an economy of 9.32.

The Indians currently sit at the eighth spot in the points table with 10 points, and play RCB, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants and SRH for their remaining fixtures.
