BJP alleges Siddaramaiah’s wife flouted rules to get land
Mysuru: BJP spokesperson MG Mahesh on Monday alleged that the leader of opposition Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvathi has received Mysuru Urban Development Authority (Muda) sites for sparing land for the development of a layout, in other locations.
“By flouting the law, the land was not given in the same developed area,” he alleged.
Speaking to reporters, he claimed Muda had acquired land belonging to Parvathi at Devanur and it was developed under a 50:50 scheme.
As per law, Muda must hand over half of its share, about 14 sites, at the same layout where the land owner agreed to the development of layout, but Parvathi obtained sites in other areas, including in the upscale Vijayanagar area.
This, according to the BJP spokesperson, this happened during the tenure of Dhruvakumar, when he was the chairman of Muda.
Mahesh said BJP will order a probe into this issue once it comes to power.
