Teen ‘jumps off roof’ over mom’s health, both die

Ranchi: A 57-yera-old freelance journalist, Sudha Dutt, and her 19-year-old son Arman Dutt died in a hospital, where they were admitted after the teenager was found in a pool of blood outside their two-storey building in Harmu Housing Colony under Argora police station area on Monday and the woman inside her room bleeding from the nose.
Police suspect the boy jumped off the roof as he was depressed due to his mother’s health condition.
Colony residents informed police that a youth had fallen from the roof of his house and was bleeding profusely. A PCR team reached the spot and sent the mother-son duo to a hospital where they later died.
The exact cause of the death will be known after the post-mortem examination report comes, said the officer in-charge of police station Vinod Kumar.
