Hanish to submit probe report soon
Thiruvananthapuram: The shifting of Mohammed Hanish from the industries department will not affect the ongoing probe into the awarding of the contracts by Keltron for the Safe Kerala project.
Mohammed Hanish who was the principal secretary of the industries department was shifted to the revenue department in an order issued on Sunday night. However, he was again shifted to the health department as principal secretary on Monday morning. He was also holding the post of general education secretary.
However, Hanish’s sudden transfer will not be affecting the probe in 'Safe Kerala' as he is learnt to have almost completed the probe and is expected to submit the report in a day or two. Hanish was asked to probe into the procedural lapses that occurred if any in awarding the subcontracts by the Keltron.
Industry minister P Rajeeve had asked the principal secretary of the industries department to probe into the details following the controversies. Hanish was probing into the agreement reached between Keltron and SRIT and also into the subcontracts awarded by SRIT. Even though Keltron had taken a stand that it has nothing to do with the subcontracts awarded by SRIT, later they had to admit that SRIT had submitted all the details regarding the subcontracts awarded by them.
