Television actress Chandrika Saha, 41, filed a police complaint against her husband, Aman Mishra, 21, on May 6 for allegedly injuring their 15-month-old son by banging the child’s head against the floor of their bedroom. The complaint was registered at Bangur Nagar police station, and the child was admitted to a private hospital.
According to the FIR registered, the actress met Aman, a share trader, in 2020, and they had a child early last year. The two got married a month ago. In her complaint, Chandrika told the police that Aman was not happy with the birth of their child, and on Friday, she found the baby crying in the bedroom with injury marks. After admitting the child to a hospital, Chandrika checked the CCTV footage and found that Aman had banged the baby’s head against the floor thrice.
Senior Police Inspector of Bangur Nagar police station, Pramod Tavde, said, “We have booked Aman Mishra under Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, for assaulting a child in one’s custody, based on the complaint filed by television actress Chandrika Saha. We have not arrested him yet, investigations are on.”
We tried reaching out to Chandrika, but she refused to comment on the case. The actress, who has been a part of shows like Savdhan India, Adaalat, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Crime Alert and C.I.D., messaged back, saying, “I do not wish to talk about this. Please I would request everyone to leave me alone."
