One held for raping minor in Steel City

Jamshedpur: A man was arrested on Monday for allegedly raping an eight-year-old girl on May 5, police said.
The girl's parents in their complaint to the police said that the accused lured their daughter to a vacant house and sexually assaulted her.
The accused, in his early 30s, stays near the girl’s house. He had also threatened her of dire consequence if she revealed the ordeal to her parents, hence, she remained quiet all this while. However, when she couldn't bear the pain, she told her parents on May 7, following which the matter reached the police, and the accused was arrested under Section 376 of the IPC and POCSO Act. tnn
