Pilerne resident held in Anjuna land-grab case

Panaji: The special investigation team (SIT) probing land grab cases arrested a 42-year-old resident of Pilerne on Monday in connection with an alleged case at Anjuna, said superintendent of police (SP), crime branch, Nidhin Valsan.
Valsan said that the land grab case was registered in March based on a complaint made by Antonio Savio D’Costa, resident of Camurlim.
He said that the complainant holds the power of attorney of the actual owner of the property, to the effect that prior to August 2022. SIT had booked over 14 persons for hatching criminal conspiracy to cheat the rightful owner of the property.
