3-day Twitter campaign against govt from today
Ranchi: A three-day social media campaign will be launched on Tuesday by the CTET-qualified persons across Jharkhand against state government’s inability to conduct the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) since the last six year.
The Twitter campaign will be launcged between May 9 and May 11. The campaigners are demanding the state government to give recognition to those who have qualified Central Teacher Eligibility Test in state recruitments.
Jharkhand Student Union leader Suraj Mandal at a press conference said, “In the campaign, we will use hashtag #valid_ctet_in_jharkhand. The candidates will also create a 60-second video expressing their feelings and tag the chief minister to gain his attention.”
According to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) rules, every state must conduct a Teacher Eligibility Test at least once a year. If a state is unable to organize the test, the CTET can be included in the teacher recruitment process. However, Jharkhand has not recognized the CTET, which has left thousands of trained candidates in a lurch.
