Berhampur: The documentary film Adwitiya, produced by Nrityam Kala Gabeshana Kendra in Hinjilicut, Ganjam district, has been awarded in two categories at the International Film Festival held in
Mauritius, East Africa. The short documentary film, directed by Krishna DK, is based on factual events that depict how Aska police maintain law and order.
The 18-minute documentary is based on the achievement of Aska police station in the district.
The police station adjudged and awarded by the ministry of home affairs as the best police station in the country for 2022.
After returning from Mauritius, Krishna and the story’s author, Simanchal Maharan, met chief minister
Naveen Patnaik at his residence in Bhubaneswar on Saturday, “The chief minister expressed his delight with the documentary, based on the accomplishments of Aska police station, winning two awards in the international film festival,” said Krishna.
Naveen also took to twitter to congratulate both. “Congratulate Krishna DK & Simanchal Maharana from Hinjilicut on being awarded Best Documentary Short Film Maker & Best Film Story Writer for their documentary ‘#Adwitiya’ at the Indian Ocean Int’l Film Festival in Mauritius. May they achieve bigger milestones in film career,” he tweeted.
