Around 60 killed, 231 injured, nearly 1700 houses burned in Manipur incident: CM N Biren Singh

While addressing a Press Conference over Manipur violence on May 8, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh appealed to the people to bring peace and calm to the state as 60 innocent people lost their lives, 231 people suffered injuries and around 1700 houses burned down in the unfortunate incident. He said, “Around 60 innocent people have lost their lives, 231 people suffered injuries and around 1700 houses burned down in the unfortunate incident on May 3. I appeal to people to bring peace and calm to the state. Transportation of stranded persons to their respective locations has started.”
