Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is expected to arrive at the Malappuram boat capsize incident site, while the search operation for the boat capsize incident continues, said Kerala Revenue Minister K Rajan on Monday.
While speaking to the media persons, K Rajan noted that the operation is being carried out by multiple teams including NDRF, fire, and scuba diving teams.

1. The recovery teams have retrieved 21 deceased bodies thus far from the boat capsize incident.
2. The District Collector of Malappuram, VR Premkumar, has stated that 22 individuals have lost their lives in the boat capsize incident. Five individuals managed to swim to the shore, while 10 others are receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital. The search and rescue operation is still ongoing, as per VR Premkumar's statement to ANI.
