Gondolas designed to give comfort in all seasons

Varanasi: Passengers travelling in the Gondolas of European design going to be introduced in ropeway service, will have pleasant experience in all weather.
Regarding specialities of gondolas of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream project of ropeway for public transport in Kashi, the National Highway Logistic Management Limited’s (NHLML) project director Puja Mishra said, “Work on ropeway for urban transport in Varanasi has been started. Passengers will have pleasant experience in all season and weather condition in specially designed gondolas.”
Each gondola’s 10 seater cabin will give comfort to the passengers, she said that the gondolas have been so designed that specially abled persons will also not face any difficulty in boarding it even with wheelchairs. Apart from proper ventilation, she said, the specially designed reflective glass windows on gondolas will reduce overheating and solar glare.
The ropeway project will not only add a modern public transport to Kashi but it will ease traffic load on the congested roads of the old city areas.
Travelling up to crowded Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Dashaswamedh ghat areas from Cantt railway station will also become easy and less time taking. It will not only facilitate pilgrims and tourists but also locals. tnn
