Thane: Lok Adalat solves over 30,000 cases, settles Rs 88 crore

THANE: As many as 30,698 pending and pre-litigation cases were resolved and a compensation including, accident claims, tax disputes worth over Rs 88 crore were disbursed and settled in a day here, during National Lok Adalat, officials said.
"Nearly 24,073 pending cases involving settlements amounting to over Rs76 crore and 6,625 pre-litigation cases worth Rs12 crore were settled during the Lok Adalat recently.
