Woman asked to like online videos & invest in cryptocurrency duped of Rs 8 lakh

THANE: A 51-year-old woman was duped of Rs 8 lakh by online cheats who lured the victim by offering her a part time job.
The police said that the complainant received a call from a person offering her the opportunity to invest in cryptocurrency wherein the returns were quite high and was told to like videos on YouTube.
She was made to pay various instalments under the promise of handsome returns. The victim paid the sum totalling Rs 8 lakh but did not get back the returns as promised by the accused.
