GURGAON: National Testing Agency conducted the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test for Under Graduate (NEET-UG) on Sunday with a special focus on persons with disabilities (PwDs) and transgenders. At least 10,000 candidates, including 13 transgender people, took the exam at 24 centres across Gurgaon, amidst new rules introduced this year.
The candidates were given an extra 20 minutes to take their papers for the first time this year and PwDs were given an extra hour. NTA had allowed the entry of medical specialists inside the campus for the first time.
There was no misconduct reported at any of the centres in Gurgaon. The regional coordinator of NTA, Rupa Chakraborty, told TOI, “We ensured that the candidates were asked which booth they want to get frisked at.” One of the students said physics and biology were comparatively easy. Another candidate said, “Anyone who had studied NCERT syllabus would have solved it easily.”
