DKM teams to face SNG girls, NASA boys for title

Nagpur: Atharva Dhore joined Shreyash Bhosale in scoring a team-high total for their teams as Dharampeth Krida Mandal (DKM) and Nagpur Amateur Sports Association (NASA) recorded respective 12-point victories to set up the boys summit clash in the youth district basketball championship currently in progress at the NBYS court, Bajaj Nagar.
While Atharva netted 27 points to help DKM get the better of Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana (SNG) 59-47, Shreyash scored 30 points as NASA stunned defending champions Gurudeo Nagar Krida Mandal (GKM) 63-51 in their respective boys semifinals.
For DKM, Neil Dhargawe and Shresth Chandak added identical 12 points. In NASA’s win, Neil Kharde (17) supported Shreyash.
In the girls section, arch rivals DKM and SNG registered thumping victories to confirm another date in the district championship final. After SNG outplayed United Basketball Academy (UBA) 45-28, DKM defeated hosts Nutan Bharat Yuwak Sangh (NBYS) 51-31 in the second girls semifinal.
