Inox Wind Energy(up 10.49%), Alstom T&D India(up 6.05%), PIGL(up 5.00%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 4.97%), Energy Development Company(up 4.72%), Voltamp Transformers(up 4.00%), Jyoti Structures(up 3.76%), NTPC(up 1.61%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.53%) and Tata Power Company(up 1.27%) stood among the top gainers.
Adani Transmissions(down 5.00%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 4.30%), ADANIGREEN(down 2.47%), Reliance Power(down 2.02%), KEC International(down 1.68%), Orient Green Power Company(down 1.63%), RTNPOWER(down 1.54%), DPSC(down 1.40%), Karma Energy(down 1.16%) and Suzlon Energy(down 1.16%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 195.4 points up at 18264.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 709.96 points at 61764.25.
IndusInd Bank(up 4.94%), Tata Motors(up 4.9%), Bajaj Finance(up 4.2%), Bajaj Finserv(up 3.35%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.93%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.49%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.93%), HCL Technologies(up 1.91%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.83%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.7%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Coal India(down 1.92%), Adani Enterprises(down 1.71%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.89%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.72%), Britannia Industries(down 0.6%), Larsen & Toubro(down 0.51%), Nestle India(down 0.17%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.14%) and JSW Steel(down 0.07%) closed in the red.
