Scheduled to take off from Copenhagen on 30 October 2023, the airline will operate the seasonal route with thrice weekly flights using Airbus A350 aircraft with 300 seats across three classes: SAS Business, SAS Plus and SAS Go.

Operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, flight SK973 is scheduled to leave CPH at 23:30, arriving at BKK at 17:05 the following day.

The return leg, SK974, will take off on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, leaving BKK at 23:45 and landing back at CPH at 06:35 the following day.

“Thailand and the Scandinavian countries have a long history of friendship and cooperation and returning with a direct route after nine years is a true pleasure,” said Anko van der Werff, President & CEO of SAS. “The Bangkok route will offer a perfect entry point for wider Thailand and be a great option for both business and leisure travelers. Bangkok is a vibrant meeting point for international businesses and the country has topped several rankings as the world's most popular tourist destination with its beautiful beaches, lush jungles and extraordinary Thai cuisine. Regardless of reason to travel, we are excited to once again offer a direct connection between Scandinavia and the Land of Smiles.”

SAS will also operate thrice weekly flights to Tokyo Haneda (HND) and Shanghai (PVG), as part of its winter 2023/2024 program.

The Copenhagen-Bangkok winter seasonal route is subject to governmental approval.
