3one4 Capital, a venture capital firm based in Bengaluru, India, has raised USD 200 million for its fourth marquee fund. The fund was oversubscribed to USD 250 million, but the firm chose to limit its size to remain lean and disciplined.

The decision is emblematic of the firm’s strategic choices, which have set it apart from other Indian venture firms. 3one4 Capital has gained a reputation for its contrarian investment approach, exemplified by its early investment in Licious, a direct-to-consumer brand selling meat.

The firm has also invested in HR platform Darwinbox, business-to-business focused neobank Open, consumer-focused neo bank Jupiter, Licious, local social networks Koo and Lokal, entertainment service Kuku FM, fintech Raise Financial, and gaming firm Loco.
