Now, police use speed guns to check overspeeding in Bokaro

Bokaro: Police have increased the checking of vehicles on the highways passing through Bokaro using speed guns. The move is a part of the administration’s efforts to ensure safety and reduce accidents on the highways.
DSP (traffic) Poonam Minz said, “The speed limit varies from place to place and the speed guns are set accordingly. This checking will continue on the highways in the district.”
With the use of speed guns which uses Bluetooth and wi-fi technology, photos of vehicles moving at high speeds are taken automatically and fines are imposed online. Checks were conducted on the four-lane highway near the JAP-4 Battalion, which is an accident-prone area because of overspeeding.
