Aao, dekho, seekho: KT Rama Rao to Priyanka Gandhi ahead of Telangana visit

HYDERABAD: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday termed Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi as a political tourist and suggested her to turn her trip into an educational tour to see for herself the fruits of KCR-government policies being enjoyed by the people and how the state has developed as number one in the country.
KTR also termed Congress leaders as 'politically unemployed' who were trying to mislead the jobless youth. He also targeted the BJP stating it is the failure of the previous Congress governments and the last nine years of BJP government at the Centre for rising unemployment rate. Like the BRS, had these national parties adopted progressive policies, the unemployme-nt problem could have been solved, he said.
Referring to Priyanka Gandhi's visit to address a public meeting 'Yuva Sangharshana Sabha' at Saroornagar on Monday, KTR said she should apologise on behalf of the Congress to the families of those who sacrificed their lives for statehood. If the Congress-led government had given statehood early, hundreds of lives could have been saved, he said. KTR sought to advise Priyanka Gandhi not to go by the script given by local Congress leaders about the BRS government.
"My suggestion to her is 'aao, dekho, seekho'. Do not blindly believe the script written by party leaders. Even Rajnikanth recently said that Hyderabad city has developed so much that it reminded him of New York. The local leaders may be shy to tell the truth, but if asked a couple of times, they will tell her about the progress that Telangana achieved by the BRS," he said.
KTR said the Congress general secretary would come across beautiful roads, flyovers, advanced structures and offices of IT companies while landing at the Shamshabad.
He sought to remind Priyanka Gandhi that the TPCC chief Revanth Reddy had earlier termed Sonia Gandhi as the culprit (bali devatha) behind all the suicides. "It looks like the Congress has handed over Gandhi Bhavan to Godse and has written a Will for its decimation. The grand old party should decide whether its decision to appoint a TPCC chief was out of ignorance or a suicidal-choice, he added.
