‘Inculcate traditional values in youngsters’

Dhanbad: The deputy chairperson of Rajya Sabha, Harivansh Narayan Singh, appealed to intellectuals and other social leaders to be attentive towards inculcating traditional Indian values in the younger generation or be ready to face anarchy in all aspects of life.
He was talking at a book release function at the IIT(ISM) auditorium on Friday.
Harivansh also said technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT can bring about revolutionary changes but at the same time, they can have a disastrous impact on society if we fail in using them without consciousness and eternal human values.
“It has the potential of revolutionising the education and the medical world if used judiciously but at the same time, it can be destructive if we fail in rising over self interest in larger societal interest,” he added.
IIT(ISM) director Rajiv Shekhar, deputy director Dheeraj Kumar, littérateur M M Pathak and Jharia MLA Purnima Neeraj Singh along with editors of local vernacular dailies also addressed the function.
