Class X results likely to be out by mid-May

Panaji: The Goa Board’s Class X examination results are expected to be declared around May 15, chairman Bhagirath Shetye said on Saturday. The exam, which was answered by 20,489 students — 10,411 boys and 10,078 girls — was conducted across 31 centres from April 1 to April 22, 2023. The first term-end exam was held in November 2022. The result will be finalised based on performance of both term exams, besides adding the students’ internal marks to the result.
Meanwhile, for students of Class XII, the supplementary exams will tentatively be held in the first week of June, the board has said. These will be conducted “for those candidates who are placed in ‘needs improvement’ category or who have withdrawn their examination form”. tnn
