Despite a successful stint on
Bigg Boss 16, Shiv Thakare is in no mood to slow down and take it easy. He is working towards accomplishing his goals relentlessly. He has ticked off another project on his to-do list by participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 (KKK 13). He says, “I am quite stubborn about accomplishing my goals. I try to achieve what I have set out for. After Bigg Boss, all I wanted was to keep getting good offers. I want to act in Marathi movies, and I am sure that will happen eventually, but I have a special liking for reality shows (smiles). I am glad that KKK 13 came my way. Who doesn’t like getting an offer without having to ask for it?”
While Shiv is finding his own space in showbiz and making the right career moves, how important is money for him? How much does that influence his career choices? He answers, “Even though money is important, it is secondary. I won’t let go of an opportunity for it. I have waited for years for this phase of being busy to let anything distract me. I am definitely making more money than I had imagined (laughs!). It amazes me to know that I can be paid so much. When the deal was locked, I thought to myself, ‘
Aai shapath, tu mehenga ho gaya re,teri toh demand
hai, bro (laughs!).’”
He adds, “I have learnt that
aap sapno ke peeche bhaago, paisa khud ba khud aata hai. Of course, it feels amazing to be getting paid what you deserve. I guess
oopar wala jab bhi deta hai chhappar phaad kar deta hai. Now, I hope to own a house in Mumbai.
Yahaan ghar lene mein logon ki life
chali jaati hai. So, I value it a lot. Through my journey in showbiz, I have proved that common people can aim for stars, too.”
Popularity also leads to numerous rumours, including link-up. Shiv was in a relationship with his Bigg Boss Marathi contestant Veena Jagtap. He was also linked with actress Akanksha Puri. Ask him about his relationship status and he replies, “I am single and focusing on work. When the time is right to be in a relationship, I will.
Abhi jo itne saalon mein sapne dekhe hain unko waqt dena hai.”
