CHENNAI: Residents of Chennai can now deposit cheques in cheque-deposit machines placed at Ripon Buildings and regional deputy commissioner offices to pay property tax.

The cheque can be addressed to the GCC commissioner and deposited in the machine. It will be collected and processed in a few days.
Residents can also pay property via credit and debit cards, net banking and UPI system as usual.
