Elderly woman falls to death from 5-storey building in Kolkata

KOLKATA: A woman in her sixties died after falling of a five storeyed building in Kolkata on Saturday.
Police said Neelam Kothari was a patient of depression for the past several years and had recently moved into the flat with her two sons. She had a history of leaving her home without telling anyone and losing her way back.
On Saturday, residents of the two storeyed house heard a noise of something heavy falling on the roof and they rushed upwards to find the woman in a pool of blood. Cops suspect she had jumped from the terrace of the building and had landed on the roof of the house adjecent to the building.
She was taken to the nearest hospital by her family and local residents but she succumbed to her injuries. Cops have launched a probe into the case.
