Direct Jaipur-Medina Haj flights to operate from May 21 to June 6
After a gap of three years, Jaipur International airport will operate 27 Haj Flights from May 21 to June 6 from Terminal-1.
JAIPUR: After a gap of three years, Jaipur International airport will operate 27 Haj Flights from May 21 to June 6 from Terminal-1.
“From May 21-27, one flight of Air India will take off daily at 11am and will reach Medina at 13:55. From May 28 onwards, another AI flight will start operations and will depart daily to Medina at 9:35am. Returning flights will operate from July 3-24,” said an official spokesperson of Jaipur airport.
Due to Covid, Haj flights remained suspended since 2020 and for the last two years, it was operating from New Delhi and passengers from Jaipur had to go there to board the flights.
“Earlier, Haj flight from Jaipur use to land at Jeddah, but now it will land in Medina. We are holding meetings with government departments, officials and Haj Committee representatives,” said a senior official of the airport administration.
Officials said special arrangements are being done at Terminal-1 including deployment of additional CISF personnel, private security guards, installation of customs and immigration counters, seating arrangements, separate prayer rooms for male and female passengers.
