Manipur violence: Security forces conduct patrolling in Imphal

Amid the ongoing tensions in Manipur after the ethnic violence broke out between Kuki-Zomi tribals and Meiteis, patrolling by the security forces are underway in Imphal on May 06. The widespread riots in Manipur have displaced over 9,000 people from their villages. Troops have been deployed to the north-eastern state with orders of “shoot at sight”.
