Tamil Nadu: Engineering counselling from August 2

CHENNAI: Unlike 2022-23, Tamil Nadu engineering admission counselling begins this year on August 2 till October 3. Last year, the counselling went on till the fourth week of November.
The online application registration process that began on Friday will end on June 4. The rank list is scheduled to be released on July 12.
Counselling to fill engineering seats in colleges functioning under Anna University will begin on August 2. For the first three days, seats reserved for differently abled, sportspersons and ex-servicemen would be filled, and general counselling is expected to take place between August 7 and September 24.
Following this, the supplementary counselling to fill seats which turn vacant (as some students might switch to agriculture or arts courses in other universities) will take place between September 26 and 29.
As far as arts and college science courses are concerned, the application process will commence on May 8. The application window will be closed on May 19.
To prevent students from paying application fees for multiple colleges, the state collegiate education directorate has introduced a common online application portal (www.tngasa.in) in which each student can apply to five colleges by paying 50.
