No headway in bank heist case probe
Jaipur: A day after two armed men stormed into a bank at Saipura village under Jaisinghpura Khor police station and looted over Rs 5 lakh at gunpoint, the city police are yet to make any headway in the case.
A senior police official said that the gang had conducted a recce of Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank (RMGB) before they barged in at 2.30pm on Thursday. “The accused had cut off the link to the siren alarm system on Wednesday night. We suspect they knew there would only be a few people there in the afternoon,” said the official.
Even as police are trying to find clues from CCTV footage, trails in previous such cases have gone cold.
